Calor LPG is an extremely versatile and portable fuel. For homes and businesses in rural areas, Calor LPG is the closest possible alternative to mains gas.
It provides a reliable and versatile heat source for cooking and efficient home heating, as well as mobile heaters, bbqs, caravans, patio heaters, stoves, cookers, fixed fires, generators, and pumps.
Angus Maciver Ltd is the sole agent for Calor in the Outer Hebrides supplying domestic, retail, and trade
customers with several LPG product lines including bottled gases, heaters, generators, and pumps.
LPG boilers, stoves, cookers, and fixed fires can be supplied by other local agents, and these can be installed by Gas Safe Registered plumbers, gas engineers, and local building contractors.

LPG gas, or Liquefied Petroleum Gas, is a gas that exists in a liquefied form, such as propane and butane. Both of these gases have different chemical properties and, as such, are particularly suited to specific uses. Propane is primarily used for off-grid domestic LPG central heating, LPG gas cookers, and caravans, in addition to numerous other domestic and commercial applications. Butane is ideal for fuelling indoor portable heaters, camping heaters, and single-burn cookers.
Propane, because of its low boiling point, must be stored and used outdoors, whilst butane does not work in colder climes and is best used and stored indoors.
We, and several of our approved stockists around the Island, provide a full range of bottled butane and propane gases to a varied customer base.
